Why this site exists

OutageReady answers the practical questions most people have when they look into backup power: what will a power station or generator actually run, and for how long? We are not electricians, so the site sticks to clear math and published appliance ratings, and points you to a licensed professional for anything involving your home's wiring. When we test equipment ourselves, we publish the measurements here.
